About these standards
These Child Safety Standards apply to Smart Patiya, a community and social platform developed and published by Jalali Tech Store (Google Play package: com.thikana.patiya).
This page is publicly available without login and describes how we prevent, detect, report, and respond to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform.
We are committed to keeping minors safe, removing harmful content quickly, and cooperating with competent authorities when required by applicable law.
Zero tolerance for CSAE
Smart Patiya and Jalali Tech Store have zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
Users are strictly prohibited from creating, uploading, requesting, sharing, promoting, or distributing any content that sexually exploits or abuses children.
Smart Patiya does not permit grooming, sexual exploitation of minors, sextortion involving minors, trafficking of children, or any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Sexualized images, videos, text, or audio involving minors
- Grooming, coercion, or attempts to obtain sexual content from minors
- Sextortion, blackmail, or threats involving minors
- Trafficking, exploitation, or recruitment of children for sexual purposes
- Links, codes, or instructions to access CSAM on or off the platform
- Accounts impersonating minors for sexual or exploitative purposes
- Any other conduct that endangers the safety of children
In-app reporting and feedback
Smart Patiya provides an in-app mechanism so users can submit safety concerns without leaving the app. This satisfies our obligation to offer accessible reporting directly inside the product.
- Open the app and go to More (আরও)
- Tap Help Center (সহায়তা কেন্দ্র) or Help & Safety (সহায়তা ও নিরাপত্তা)
- Choose Report a Safety Concern (নিরাপত্তা উদ্বেগ রিপোর্ট)
- Select the type of issue: report user, report post, report message, child safety concern, or other safety issue
- Provide as much detail as possible and submit the report
- Community posts and listings can also be reported from the content menu (⋯ → Report)
- When reporting content, select “Child safety / CSAE” as the reason where available
- Safety reports are routed to our moderation team for priority review
- You may also email our Child Safety Point of Contact using the details below
How we handle CSAE reports
When we receive a report or obtain actual knowledge of a potential CSAE violation, we follow a documented review and enforcement process.
- Report received — via in-app safety report, content report, or direct email to our Child Safety Point of Contact
- Review — our moderation team assesses the report, reviews related content and accounts, and prioritizes child safety cases
- Violation confirmed? — if no violation is found, the report is closed; if a violation is confirmed, we proceed with enforcement
- Remove content — offending posts, messages, listings, media, or profiles are removed from the platform
- Suspend or terminate account — accounts involved in CSAE may be temporarily suspended or permanently banned
- Preserve relevant information — we retain records needed for investigation, legal compliance, and authority requests where appropriate
- Escalate where legally required — we report to competent authorities when required by applicable child safety laws
Enforcement actions
Any content or account found to violate these standards may be removed immediately. Depending on severity, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Immediate removal of CSAM or exploitative content
- Temporary restriction of posting, messaging, or account features
- Permanent account suspension or termination
- Blocking repeat offenders from creating new accounts where technically feasible
- Preservation of logs and evidence for legal or regulatory requests
- Referral to law enforcement or relevant child protection authorities when required
Legal compliance
Jalali Tech Store operates Smart Patiya in compliance with applicable child safety and child protection laws, including obligations relating to the protection of children online and the reporting of child sexual abuse material where required.
When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAE content or conduct, we act in accordance with these published standards and applicable law, including cooperation with competent authorities in Bangladesh and other jurisdictions as required.
We do not tolerate the use of our platform to facilitate harm against children and will respond to valid legal requests from authorized agencies in line with applicable procedures.
Guidance for parents and guardians
We encourage parents and guardians to supervise minors who use community platforms and to report any concerning behavior immediately.
- Talk with children about online safety and what to do if they see something inappropriate
- Use in-app reporting as soon as a concern arises
- Contact our Child Safety Point of Contact by email for urgent child safety matters
- Contact local law enforcement immediately if a child is in immediate danger
Policy updates
We may update these Child Safety Standards from time to time to reflect changes in law, platform features, or industry best practices. The latest version will always be published at this URL.
